Sidehacks Awake!
It was a misty roll up the 5 fwy through a fog and cloud covered downtown LA and up to Griffith Park to find the 34th Annual Sidecar Rally.

We get to the park rolling past early morning joggers and dog-walkers and find the rally in the northern corner of the park. There was a special corral for two wheeled cruisers like me and Ragu as Billy blasted his hack to the show strip next to a nice grass field. There were well over 200 bikes with sidecars or hacks on their side.

From the ridiculous to the insane.
We thought we would see more hacks like this Firetruck theme at this show. There were spaceship-like hacks that are aerodynamic and fully enclosed as well as utility hacks with tool boxes or flat-beds. Personally I prefer the retro streamlined style of the Steil sidecars.

All in all a good showing in the park with enthusiasts of all motorcycle builders. There was even a strong presence of Russian-Made bikes and military side-cars.

Were you there?
Send us pics of your ride to be included in a follow-up story.
