BAY AREA BIKE COMMUNITY GETS TOGETHER TO FIND BIG RED.

Missing motorcyclist prompts community to activate a search.

We are a bit late with the posting of this story, but it came across our desk that motorcyclist Melinda Moore was missing for almost a week. Her fiancé and friends set up a website to help organize a search for "Big Red" www.FindBigRed.com. Apparently she had hidden her depression from those who were closest to her and one day she rode her Red Aprilia Tuono off Hwy 1 just west of Santa Rosa, CA in an apparent suicide.

An abalone fisherman had found a helmet and gloves on a rock where she had placed them as a marker. When he read the story several days later in the newspaper he contacted the police to tell them of the find. Her body was found in a crevice off an 800 foot cliff near Fort Ross. And the bike laid to rest in the rocks on the beach at the bottom of the cliff. There is a memorial at the site and ask that no one disturbs the area including the bike on the rocks.

You can visit the website at www.FindBigRed.com to post messages or learn more about Big Red.

We here at Bike-Shows.com send our sincere condolences to her family and friends.
