PCH from Seal Beach to Huntington

We made a quick ride of it. Out of the Bike-Shows HQ in Garden Grove we rode straight down Westminster blvd. till it hits PCH. We pass the Navel Weapons Depot and on to the cool January PCH. First stop is at the harbor so our boys from NY can get a glimse of the OC Shoreline. From there we headed south through Sunset Beach and stopped at Mothers for a quick drink.

Mothers is an institution on PCH and has a really cool atmosphere. Butchie and I played darts while eating peanuts and drinkin a cool one. Billy and Josh were saddled up to the bar watching the Barrat Jackson auction on the TV. The bartender said the place has recently sold and that the new owners were planning a remodel. This place has seen better days. I can imagine it full of bikers carousing around. The past few times I've been there it was pretty empty. And that's on a nice ridin' weekend. There was one yuppie there on his stock FLHX. I can see it looking like a chain restaurant and then the Dr's and Lawyers on their HD's will make it popular again.

Next stop is Huntington Beach. Surf City USA. Keep the bikes from barking too loud, this town is notorius for bustin' bikes with loud pipes. All of us are running straight pipes and I'm waiting for the tickets. You see the boys were searched twice on the first day here and we are waiting to get hassled again.

It all worked out pretty well as we rolled out of the HB Pier parking lot and continued down PCH.

I had to turn left just past downtown and head back to the shop while the boys continued down to Newport, Balboa, Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach before heading back to the foothills.
